The Kanektok River has strong runs of King, Chum, Sockeye, Pink, and Silver
Salmon. These fish are fresh from the sea and quick to attack the fly, or
terminal tackle.
The Kanektok River (AKA The Chosen River) is known for its fantastic Salmon
fishing but it also has some spectacular Rainbow, Arctic Char and
Dolly Varden fishing. With an abundance of 9 different species of fish, combined with
incredible habitat, structure and holding water, the Kanektok River is truly one
of the finest remote fly fishing rivers in Alaska.
